Portion of 66th Street to be Closed for Two Months Starting Monday

Starting Monday, April 28, 2025, Lone Star Dirt and Paving, Inc. will be close 66^th Street, from Upland Avenue to Marsha Sharp Freeway, to through traffic in order to complete the paving on 66^th Street and construction of a low water crossing. Both are necessary to tie into the Upland Avenue intersection and maintain drainage.

 

Detours will be posted to provide alternate routes during construction. Citizens are encouraged to drive with caution, or to avoid the area if possible. The closure is expected to last 60 days.
