The Garden and Arts Center is a proud member of the First Friday Art Trail and thrives to display the work of local artists, artisans, and crafters. The opening or closing reception date for exhibitions takes place during the First Friday of each month, unless otherwise stated.

The Garden and Arts Center will host The World of Special Needs Artists.  An exhibit of works by special needs art students of Henry Salley.

The GAC will host the 27th Annual Employee Art Exhibition (National Arts Program) October 24 – November 21, 2016, for Municipal Employees, Retirees, volunteers, and their family members. This mixed media Exhibition will feature drawings, paintings, photographs, sculptures, fine art crafts and other visual works of art created by City of Lubbock employees, retirees, and their families. The NAP has adult and youth divisions so parents and grandparents make sure that all young talented artists get their work in the show. There will be cash prizes and a chance to have your art published on a National Arts Program web site.

Entries can be delivered to the Garden and Arts Center on Monday, October 17th between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 18th between 10:00 a.m. and 8 p.m. and Wednesday, October 19th between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
