Texas-born artist, Henry Salley, teaches workshops in portraiture,  landscape, still life with several media including: oil, acrylics, pastels  and charcoal. Henry  Salley is well known for teaching special needs  classes, where he enables his students to explore 
and appreciate their own  unique vision. He also pushes his students to make the best possible work,  so they may surpass their preconceived skill level.

Salley is a member of: The Southwest Pastel Society, the  Lone Star Pastel Society, and the Art League of West  Texas and New Mexico.

PAINTING: STILL LIFE PAINTING

Explore how color values and color temperature can give your floral painting vibrancy and depth.  Instructor demos. 

PAINTING: LANDSCAPES

In this one day course, students will learn to mix colors and paint a vivid landscape.  This class will show students how to consider properties of light as they create their own landscape work.   (7.5 hrs, 1 class)

PAINTING: PORTRAIT OF A PERSON

Students will learn how to reproduce the features of a person in a monochromatic or full color portrait painting.  Photographs of the person will be used and may be submitted ahead of time.
