RAWLINGS TO HOST TAMALE MAKING WORKSHOP
Learn how to make tamales! Rawlings Community Center will be hosting a two-part Tamale Making Workshop on April 10-11, 2015. Part I of the workshop will be held on Friday, April 10, from 6:00-7:30 p.m., and participants will learn how to make the meat part of the tamale. On Saturday, April 11, from 10:00-2:00 p.m., participants will finish up Part II of the workshop by making the masa, assembling their tamales, and then cooking them. At the end of the workshop, participants will take home a half-dozen homemade tamales! Pre-registration is required by Thursday, April 9. The cost is $20 per person and includes all supplies needed to make the tamales. Space is limited, so register today!
