The 2014 Fall Recreation and Leisure Activity Guide will be released on September 7, 2014, in the Sunday edition of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal! The 32-page guide covers activities for Parks and Recreation from September through early January. Fall festivals, Halloween events, Pumpkin Trail, holiday youth camps, Santa Land, and new classes are just a few of the great programs Parks and Recreation will again offer Lubbock residents.
Class registration for all Parks and Recreation fall activities begins on Tuesday, September 8, 2014! Sign up at your neighborhood Community and Senior Centers for classes from Mommy and Me and Preschool classes through activities for Adults and Older Active Adults, and all ages in between! Classes fill up fast, and we encourage everyone to sign up early so that you are able to get into the classes you want. Classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis and confirmed with a paid registration. The fall guide contains all the information you’ll need to register and plan out your fall activities, including class schedules for all Parks and Recreation facilities, the fall special events calendar, athletic leagues and tennis opportunities, rental information, Safety City activities, and hunting information for Lake Alan Henry.
Parks and Recreation will have the entire 32-page guide available (in Adobe Reader) at www.playlubbock.com on September 7. To have a free copy mailed to you, call 775-2673 or email email@example.com.
