Growing leadership skills and being a positive role model have never been more fun than being a part of the Counselor in Training Leadership Program at Hodges Community Center! This summer, a group of 10 enthusiastic, responsible teens will be selected to experience working with children. Interested teens, ages 13-15 are encouraged to apply by 12:00 pm on May 18, 2013. Applications can be picked up at Hodges Community Center. Interviews will be on May 18, 2013. Selections for the program will be made by May 25, 2013. If selected there is a $30 per week fee for camp attendance that includes lunch, snacks, swimming and field trips.
After being selected for the program, participants will be involved in leadership training and community service during the city’s summer camps. Responsibilities will include leading activities, assisting younger campers with projects and games, and helping counselors prepare materials and snacks. This program is designed for teens to learn valuable employment skills and responsibility while having some summer fun! Don’t miss out!
