Ron Mouser

Ron Mouser - Self Portrait

Ron Mouser received his first 35mm camera on his 18th birthday and has been a serious photo hobbyist since that time.  While in the United States Air Force he stepped up to his first SLR and began dabbling in the darkroom.  Never having facilities for a darkroom limited his experience with developing and printing.  A graduate of Texas Tech University Ron spent thirty years as a coach and teacher.  Throughout that time he continued to work with photography and has been the member of several camera clubs and attended many photo workshops.  He was fortunate enough to be able to teach beginning photography as special classes in some of the schools in which he taught.  He has been a long time member and is currently the President of the Lubbock Camera Club.   Since his retirement from public school teaching in 2003 and the advent of digital photography, Ron now controls his photography from snapping the photo to the final print.

Ron is a consistent student of photography and is always working to learn more and become a better photographer.  He is always willing to share his knowledge in many ways and teaches classes for the City of Lubbock and The Osher Life Learning Institute (OLLIE) at Texas Tech University.  His wife Sharon is also a very accomplished photographer and sometimes assists Ron in teaching his classes.  Both Ron and Sharon have had photographs in several exhibitions in the Lubbock and surrounding areas.
