South Plains Homeless Consortium

Background
The South Plains Homeless Consortium is a group of individual advocates committed to serving the homeless and to serving human service agencies interested in uplifting the quality of life for the homeless. The consortium was formed in response to the need to identify homelessness issues in the City of Lubbock and surrounding 15 county region and the availability of federal funds for programs that dealt with various issues in relation to the homeless population.

Mission
To assist in the delivery of unified quality services designed to meet the needs of the homeless and at-risk population through a continuum of care that ultimately results in self-sufficiency; to educate the public on homeless issues; to promote public awareness as an advocate of the homeless; and to involve the community in active support of homeless issues.
